Nick Zagotta is a principal of Roberts McGivney Zagotta LLC. His practice includes the representation of construction firms, physical fitness centers, chemical manufacturing, distribution companies, transportation and logistic companies, real estate developers, professional athletes, commodities firms, securities firms, individual traders and a multitude of varied business entities in corporate as well as litigation matters.
A seasoned corporate lawyer, Nick serves as a general counsel to companies by managing their day-to-day legal matters including capital events and litigation matters. In this capacity, he has guided separation agreements, employment agreements, executive compensation issues, human resource issues, operating agreements, commercial agreements, acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings and other capital events. Notably, Nick was the lead plaintiff’s attorney in a seminal case in determining who is considered disabled under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Active in the Illinois State Bar Association, Nick serves on the Labor and Employment Law Council and the Corporate Law Council.
Nick currently serves on the John Marshall Law School Board of Trustees and is a Director at the Western Golf Association. Nick previously serviced as a director of the Chicago Board of Trade and of the Chicago Transit Authority.
